Day 01 Auckland/Singapore
Make your own way to Auckland International airport with afternoon flight to Singapore.
Day 02 Singapore/Beijing
Connecting for flight to Beijing. meet and greet and transfer to hotel. Free at leisure for rest of the day.

Day 03: Beijing (B/L/D)
After breakfast, drive out of the city to walk along the Great Wall. This ancient fortress is one of the largest construction projects ever completed and one of the greatest wonders of the world. Visit the Summer Palace, built in 1888, as a resort for the Imperial Court. There are palaces, pavilions, terraces and long corridors stretching along the northern shore of Kunming Lake. Drive past the Bird’s Nest and Water Cube, the dramatic and exciting venues that hosted sporting events for the Beijing Olympics 2008. The welcome dinner is the local cuisine, Beijing Roasted Duck.

Day 04: Beijing (B/L/D)
Morning tour to Tiananmen Square. The world’s largest public square that can hold up to a million people. Surrounding the Monument to People’s Heroes and Chairman Mao Memorial Hall. There is a photo stop at the National Centre for the Performing Arts. The Centre, an ellipsoid dome of titanium and glass surrounded by an artificial lake, is referred to as The Egg. Continue to the Forbidden City,which served as the imperial palace for 600 years during the Ming and Qing dynasties. Having been the imperial palace for some five centuries, it houses the numerous rare treasures and curiosities of 14 emperors. In the afternoon, see old Beijing from a rickshaw in the Hutong. Dinner followed by an Acrobatic Show.

Day 05: Beijing/Xi’an (B/L/D)
Morning flight to Xi’an. Upon arrival, visit of the best museums in China,Shaanxi Provincial Museum as an introduction to China’s ancient capital.

Day 06: Xi’an (B/L/D)
After breakfast, travel to see the great archaeological excavation of Qin (221BC-206BC), the 7,000 strong Terracotta Warriors and Horses army of life-size soldiers with horses, chariots and weapons arranged in battle formations to guard the tomb of Emperor Qin Shi Huang. Then visit Big Wild Goose Pagoda, built in the Tang Dynasty to collect Buddhist scriptures over 500 years. Enjoy the colourful Tang Dynasty Show.

Day 07: Xi’an/Shanghai (B/L/D)
After breakfast, visit the Ancient City Wall, the most complete structure to survive in China, as well being one of the largest ancient military defence systems in the world. In the afternoon, fly to the booming and prosperous international metropolis of China—Shanghai. Visit Shanghai World Financial Center, rising 492 meters high, it offers not only high tech new office space, but also the world’s highest observatory tower from the 100th floor observation deck dwarfing the Huangpu River below. Then free time to shop in Super Grand Mall.

Day 08: Shanghai (B/D)
Full day at the World Expo, with the theme “ Better City, Better Life.” This will be the first registered World Expo in a developing country that showcases China’s future development. You can visit the world in a day with 193 countries and international organisations recreating their history and culture. Global companies exchange innovative ideas,to work in unison for a brighter future. Lunch by your own arrangement.
Day 09 Shanghai/Departure (B)
After breakfast, last minute shopping in Nanjing Road prior to transfer to the Maglev Train to Pudong International Airport for departure flight.
Day 10 Arrival Auckland
Arrival in Auckland. End of Tour. We sincerely trust you had an enjoyable time in China!
