Day 01: Auckland-Sydney – Hanoi
Fly from Auckland to Sydney then connect Vietnam Airline to Hanoi, the dynamic capital of Vietnam. Upon arrival, transfer to your hotel for 3 nights.
Day 02: Hanoi (B/L)
Hanoi, a city of lakes, shaded boulevards and public parks, is the capital of Vietnam. It is a
very attractive city with French style buildings and friendly people. Today you will enjoy a city tour with lunch at the local restaurant. The tour includes One Pillar Pagoda, designed to
resemble a lotus blossom, Temple of Literature;dedicated to Confucius, HoAn Kiem Lake, Ho
Chi Minh Mausoleum; the fi nal resting place of Ho Chi Minh, St. Joseph Cathedral. At the end
of the tour, take a rickshaw to “Old Quarters” where you can do your shopping for all local
handicrafts.
Day 03: Hanoi - Halong Bay (B/Seafood Lunch on board)
After breakfast, drive to Halong Bay (170km),a World Heritage site recognized by UNESCO in 1994 and take an excursion by boat through Halong Bay including seafood lunch on board cruising on a tradition wooden junk among the emerald water and craggy limestone formations. Return to the pier and drive back to Hanoi.
Day 04: Hanoi – Hue (B)
Morning transfer to Hanoi Airport for a fl ight to Hue. Upon arrival, transfer to the hotel for
1 night. Hue, served as the capital of Vietnam for more than 140 years. It houses ancient temples; Imperial Palace and French style edifi ces. Afternoon, enjoy a half day city tour
including the Old Imperial City, the Imperial Tombs and the famous Dong Ba local market.
Day 05: Hue – Hoi An (B/L)
After breakfast drive to Hoi An across the Hai Van Pass, Lang Co and Danang. Enjoy the spectacular view of South China Sea with a stop at China Beach. Arriving in Hoi An, check into the hotel for 2 nights.
Day 06: Hoi An (B)
After breakfast, explore the peaceful and charming city of Hoi An, which is best on foot. After lunch taking a boat trip on Thu Bon River to visit the handicraft village.
Day 07: Hoi An / Danang / Saigon (B)
After breakfast, drive to Danang airport for your fl ight to Saigon. Upon your arrival, transfer
to the hotel for 2 nights. In the afternoon,excursion to Cu Chi Tunnels, a 200km long network of tunnels connecting command posts,hospitals, shelters and weapon factories during Vietnam War.
Day 08: Saigon - Mekong Delta (B/L)
From Saigon, we drive to Cai Be then take a boat ride to visit Cai Be and its wonderful floating market by boat then continue through the Bywaters and canals of Mekong Delta to Vinh Long with some stops on the way including water islands and local workshops producing puffed rice, coconut candy and other local delicacies. Late afternoon: drive back to Saigon.
Day 09: Saigon – Departure (B)
Morning: Half day city tour which includes important sites like Notre Dame Cathedral, the Central Post Offi ce, City Hall and Ben Thanh Market and Dong Khoi Street or “Rue Catinet”
where you can enjoy your last minute shopping for local handicrafts. Late afternoon: transfer
to the airport for your overnight fl ight back.
Day 10: Sydney-Auckland
Morning arrive in Sydney, then connect fl ight back to Auckland.
