Shanghai, is hosting the world at the Expo until 31 Oct, the largest event of the year. It is a thriving cosmopolitan city situated on the banks of the Yangtze River Delta in East China
and is considered to be the showpiece for the world’s fastest growing economy. Originally a sleepy fishing town, Shanghai became China’s most important city by the 20th century as the
cultural, commercial, financial, industrial and communications centre with skyscrapers and modern architecture in the Pudong contrasting with art deco buildings along the Bund.
Day 1: Arrival Shanghai
Upon arrival, your tour guide will meet you at the airport for the transfer to the hotel.
Day 2: Shanghai Meal: B/L
The day begins with a grand city tour of Shanghai – the classical Ming Dynasty Yu Yuan Gardens with pavilions, towers and terraces
contrasting the modern Pudong area, the new economic district across from the Bund. The tour continues after lunch with a stroll along the spacious promenade of the Bund followed by a cruise on the bustling Huangpu River.
Day 3: Shanghai Meal: B
A free day to shop or to explore this exciting city on your own.
World Expo 2010 Shanghai is a global showcase with nearly 250 countries and organisations participating. The theme is “Better City,Better Life,” representing the common wish of humanity for better living in the future urban environments as the common quest for generations. The pavilions create blueprints for future cities and harmonious urban life styles, providing an extraordinary educational and entertaining platform for visitors of all nations.
CTS Tours will provide a single day standard day World Expo ticket on complementary basis (standard day only June—30 Sep. 08—24 Oct 2010). The transfers will be on your own arrangement.

Free at own pace until transfer to the airport or onward journey.
